Prescriptions

pharmacist_3This is a part dispensing practice, which means that if you live within one mile of the pharmacy in Tuxford you must take your prescription to a pharmacy for dispensing.  Please note that this can be any pharmacy of your choice and not necessarily Tuxford Pharmacy.

However, if you would have serious difficulty in obtaining necessary drugs or appliances from a pharmacy, i.e. if you are housebound and have no regular carer to assist you, you may apply to have your prescriptions dispensed by your GP.  Please ask our receptionist for details.  If you live outside the one mile area, your prescriptions will be dispensed by our trained dispensers and ready to collect at the surgery after consultation with the GP.
